Born in 1977, I’ve completed my primary, secondary and high school education in in Van, Turkey. In 1995, I attended İstanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical School, where I started my medical education.
After graduating in 2001, I started my education on general surgery at Bezm-i Alem Vakıf Group Training and Research Hospital.
I worked as a general surgery specialist starting in 2007 for about 2 years, in compulsory service in Siirt State Hospital.
After my compulsory service, I started working as a chief assistant at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.
I worked as a specialist at İnönü University Liver Transplantation Institute for a year in the field of liver transplantation, bile pathology and pancreatic surgery.
I carried out a number of operations in the field of advanced laparoscopic surgery as well as conducting the responsibility of the Liver Transplantation Unit at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.
One year after receiving the title of Associate Professor in 2015, I founded European Obesity Surgery and started to work as an Obesity and Metabolism surgery specialist.
As of December 2021, I was appointed to Nişantaşı University as a faculty member with a professor staff.
